C-Track festoon electrification systems

C track festoon systems are used for (1) powering runways and monorail crane systems, (2) cross conductors supplying power and control on bridge cranes, and (3) separate festooned pushbutton arrangement on bridge cranes and other applications where an independent pushbutton is desirable.
Most C track festoon systems use flat conductor cable for flexibility and compactness but they can be supplied with round cable when required.
Standard duty C track is the norm and more than adequate for most applications however, it also comes in heavy duty. Standard duty is rated for trolley loads of less than 40 pounds and speeds of less than 250 fpm. These figures are far above those found in most applications.
Square bar and I beam festoon systems are readily available but are used infrequently.
The various components for all of these other systems are similar in function to those of the C track system illustrated.  Shown below is a typical festoon system used for suspending a push button pendant on a crane system for example.  For supplying power to a hoist the arrangement would be similar except the control unit trolley would be replaced with a tow trolley and arm attached to the hoist.
