Jib cranes
Jib cranes are an economical solution for moving materials within an individual workstation, for transferring materials from work area to work area, or for use as an auxiliary lifting devise under an overhead crane. The freestanding jib crane, or Pillar jib crane as it is sometimes called, is available with 360-degree jib rotation. Freestanding jib cranes require no additional support aside from an adequately sized permanent foundation. Wall/Column Mounted Jib Cranes provide hoist coverage and 200° rotation for individual use in bays, along walls, or columns of plants, or as a supplement to an overhead crane or monorail system. This Jib Crane has the advantage of providing maximum lift for the hoist, since it can be installed very close to the underside of the lowest ceiling obstruction. It is composed of a vertical mast mounted to 2 brackets on a wall or vertical building beam with a boom that cantilevers out, perpendicular from the wall at top. The Wall Bracket Tie Rod Supported Jib Crane has basically the same features as the Wall/Column Mounted Jib Crane, however the available headroom is far less with the tie rod style Jib Crane. The tie rod design is the least expensive Jib Crane, provided overhead clearance is not a limiting factor. Aero can help you in determining what Jib Crane is best for your application.
